Yes, it is recommended you go to the dentist every six months. Not only do bi-annual checkups and cleaning ensure your teeth are clean and plaque removed, it also let’s you catch dental issues early. Catching dental issues when they are simple will save you time, money, and discomfort.
For optimal dental health our policy consists of a doctor’s comprehensive exam which requires x-rays at the initial visit which could include bitewings, panoramic film or full mouth series. Bitewing x-rays will be taken at least once per year OR every six months thereafter, depending on the patient’s oral health.The full mouth series/panoramic film will be taken every 3-6 years as deemed necessary by the doctor.
Yes, we do accept insurance. However we are an “out of network provider,” which means we do not participate with any specific insurances or adjust our fees in any way. We are happy to file your insurance claim for you. As an “out of network provider” and since we do not participate with insurance, we apply what you insurance pays and you, the patient, is responsible for anything insurance does not pay.
We can help you pay for your dental care! Our office accepts Care Credit, and allows you to pay for your care of 12 months interest-free, as long as you don’t miss a payment. You can apply easily online or over the phone.

Dentistry at Carolina Forest loves kids! We start seeing children for cleanings at age four and up. For children under four years of age, we recommend seeing a pediatric dentist.
